A Fierce Light — 18x24

A Fierce Light

Original Watercolor | 18 × 24 inches

A Fierce Light captures the wild intensity of color and movement, where autumn's familiar warmth becomes something vast and untamed. Sweeping passages of golden yellow rise above richly layered crimson, rose, and deep violet, while narrow ribbons of luminous color break through the darker forms like light catching distant water.

Beginning with the flowing interaction of Quinacridone Gold Deep and Perylene Violet, the painting evolved through successive layers of pigment, water, and gravity. Delicate feathering, unexpected textures, and shifting currents create an atmospheric landscape that seems to stretch far beyond the paper's edges.

Neither entirely landscape nor pure abstraction, A Fierce Light invites the viewer into a world where beauty and intensity coexist, and light becomes a force all its own.
