Each painting begins with richly mixed pigment poured from a bowl or pipette onto watercolor block paper - then tilted, rotated, sprayed with water, and shaped by gravity and light. No two paintings are ever the same. Original works and fine art prints, created in Boise, Idaho.

Karyn Neklason is a self-taught watercolor artist based in Boise, Idaho, whose work explores the resonance between nature, memory, and abstraction. Her paintings emerge through an intuitive process - allowing pigment, water and gravity to shape forms that feel both familiar and dreamlike.
