A tiny piece of the ocean, this original watercolor captures the movement and depth of water through layered turquoise, blue and deep indigo.
The original watercolor has been mounted by hand on a 4 × 4 inch wood block and finished with wax, allowing it to be displayed without glass or a frame. The deep sides are hand-painted in a warm metallic gold. The gold finish follows the natural texture of the wood, so each piece has its own subtle variations—a part of the character of a handmade piece.
Small enough to sit freestanding on a shelf, desk, or mantel, it can also be hung on the wall.
