Gathering Gravity — 18x24 watercolor
Water, pigment, gravity and chance.
Gathering Gravity was created slowly, allowing pools of watercolor to travel, meet, separate and gather across the paper. What emerged is an abstract landscape of currents and connections—dark forms collecting against luminous greens, golds and oranges, with open passages of untouched paper moving between them.
Small, unexpected moments appeared as the pigments found their own paths: branching forms, tiny confluences, and a single dark drop suspended above an open field, as though the empty space itself were exerting a pull.
This painting is about the experience of watching rather than controlling—letting water and gravity participate in what the painting becomes.
