Distilled Joy began with water poured across the paper and pigment dropped into wet channels, allowing the colors to move, connect, and find their own paths.
Deep greens and teals travel through vivid yellow-green and brilliant pink, forming a loose network of passages, pools, and connections. Small concentrations of pink appear throughout the painting like bits of joy being gathered, distilled, and distributed through the larger whole.
Painted intuitively with water and pigment, following the movement of the paint rather than a predetermined composition.
