Ranges
Some distances can be measured in miles. Others are measured in years, generations, and experiences carried forward.
Ranges explores the idea that landscapes and lives are built in layers. Mountain forms rise and overlap across the painting, each carrying its own color, history, and presence while remaining connected to what lies above and below. Drifting lines and flowing passages of watercolor link the layers together, suggesting that nothing exists entirely on its own.
The painting moves between earth and memory. Mountain ranges become records of accumulated time, while the luminous spaces between them hint at moments of change, growth, and renewal. Above it all, the sky swirls with movement, echoing the patterns that repeat throughout nature and across our lives.
Created through an intuitive process of water, pigment, and chance, Ranges invites viewers to consider the visible and invisible connections that shape us. What appears separate from a distance may, upon closer inspection, be part of a larger whole.
